- Enterprise-Ready Orchestration Engine: iWave is implemented as a highly scalable, peer-to-peer mesh of servers. The peer-to-peer mesh offers scalability (just add additional servers to scale out) as well as real-time fail-over.
- On-Demand Scalability: iWave can scale up or scale-down by simply (and automatically) adding and removing servers from the iWave Automator mesh.
- Multitenancy Support: multi-tenancy is supported throughout the iWave Automator engine. Users can design, develop and deploy their own multi-tenancy automation solution using iWave Automator, or can integrate iWave Automator to extend the capabilities a cloud service management portal that supports multi-tenancy (VMware VCloud Director, etc.).
- Object Oriented Workflows: iWave object-oriented workflows enable SPs to model and automate highly complex private cloud administration processes, while abstracting those processes from the underlying infrastructure components they orchestrate. For example, an SP can have a single process for VM provisioning that is abstracted from the underlying hypervisor (allowing support for VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, etc.).
- Workflow Accelerators: iWave Automator ships with pre-built workflows for cloud provisioning, cloud bursting and disaster recovery. SP’s can implement and modify these workflow accelerators, enabling them to deploy iWave in weeks where other IT process orchestration tools take months (and even years) to deploy.
- 50+ Pre-Built Adapters: iWave Automator ships with over 50 pre-built adapters for the most popular computer, network and storage systems as well as ITIL service support applications.
- Adapter Toolkit: Workflow developers can leverage iWave’s adapter toolkit to quickly develop adapters for 3rd party systems that are not supported by pre-built iWave Adapters.
- 100% Java Product: while iWave Automator can integrate into .net and other non-Java applications, the product itself is 100% based on Java technology.
