What storage arrays does iWave Storage Automator Support?

iWave Storage Automator 1.5 supports the following storage array families:

  • EMC VNX series
  • EMC CLARiiON series
  • EMC VMAX series
  • EMC DMX series
  • NetApp FAS series

Does iWave plan to add support for additional storage arrays?

iWave will add support for Dell Compellent storage array in Q1 2012, and expects to announce support for additional vendors throughout 2012.

What storage switches does iWave Storage Automator Support?

We support storage switches from the Cisco MDS and Brocade Silkworm series of network switches.

What type of storage connections does iWave Storage Automator support?

SAN: Fiber Channel Protocol (FCP), iSCSI, FCoE and NAS.

What are iWave Storage Automator’s system requirements?

Can I control which services my users can see and use?

Yes. iWave Storage Automator supports role-based access control. The automated services a storage user can see and consume are determined by the user’s role.

Does iWave Storage Automator require any additional software to run?

iWave Storage Automator only requires Java (Java 6 or above).

Do I need professional services to install and configure iWave Storage Automator?

Not if you install and use the automated storage services that ship with the product. Most enterprise customers will want to modify those services, or even create new services that are specific to their environment. In such cases, users must engage iWave Professional Services or the services of an iWave partner to help identify storage automation requirements and develop automated services to meet those requirements.

How is iWave Storage Automator priced?
