Yes. iWave Storage Automator supports role-based access control. The automated services a storage user can see and consume are determined by the user’s role.
iWave Storage Automator only requires Java (Java 6 or above).
Not if you install and use the automated storage services that ship with the product. Most enterprise customers will want to modify those services, or even create new services that are specific to their environment. In such cases, users must engage iWave Professional Services or the services of an iWave partner to help identify storage automation requirements and develop automated services to meet those requirements.
