Our goal for this blog is to share with you our observations of the operational and technical challenges our partners and customers face as they develop, deploy and operate cloud-computing environments. All posts will focus on general issues/challenges and all customer situations will be generalized to protect the innocent (and to keep our attorneys happy).
So who is iWave and why should you care about our observations about Cloud Computing? iWave is a small software company located in Frisco, Texas (suburb of Dallas) the specializes in providing IT Orchestration software to enterprise organizations looking to automate the administration and operation of both private and public cloud environments. While you?ve probably never heard of iWave, you have heard of the companies we partner with to market and sell our products, including Unisys Corporation (www.unisys.com) and our end-user customers. The iWave executives that will be contributing to this blog all have technical backgrounds, and most have a decade plus experience in the enterprise software and IT service management software markets.
So will this blog be a paid advertisement for iWave Software? Not if we stay true to its mission... While we?ll certainly cover topics that are germane to iWave (that?s we?re qualified to discuss) and from an iWave?s perspective (we?re human), our goal is to focus on the challenges and trends we see from the font lines of the "Cloud Computing Revolution" and offer up commentary, thoughtful discussion and the occasional solution. We?ll leave product advertisement to our web site.
We also want to keep the blog fun ? and not just be ?yet another boring blog about cloud computing (YABBACC).? Although YABBACC (pronounced Yab Ack) would be an excellent name for a Cloud Computing Blog?
So thanks for checking us out ? to keep up to date on new blog postings ? just follow iWave Software on twitter (@iWaveSoftware) and/or one or more of the iWave Blog posters like me, Brent Rhymes (@brentrhymes).
