iWave offers over 40 pre-built adapters for IT service management (ITSM) applications. iWave Adapters support all of the popular ITSM applications that span the ITIL Service Support disciplines including service desks, event, problem, change, configuration and release management.
Adapter Types
iWave offers two types of adapters:
| • | Integration adapters provide the ability to exchange information with popular ITSM applications. |
| • | Action Adapters enable users to send remote commands to 3rd-party ITSM applications and receive the results from those commands using a standard, Web Service interface. |
iWave Object Model
All iWave Adapters support the iWave Object Model, which is a standard XML definition for common ITSM objects including Incidents, Problem Reports, Events, Change Requests, Configuration Items, and Problem Reports. The iWave Object Model is expressed in XML and can be extended by administrators.
Universal Adapters
In addition to iWave’s pre-built adapters, iWave supports a set of generic ‘Universal’ adapters. iWave offers flat file, command line, and XML/Web Services adapters to meet almost any integration need.
Cross-Platform Support
iWave Adapters support all major operating systems including AIX, Linux (Red Hat, SuSe), Solaris, HP-UX and Windows.
