FRISCO, TX – October 29, 2010 – iWave Software, the leading independent provider of Data Center Orchestration, Automation and Cloud Management software, today announced the release of iWave Orchestrator Adapters for three critical data center applications that drive private and public cloud adoption: Microsoft Hyper-V, EMC Ionix Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and Front Range HEAT. Each adapter is fully supported within iWave’s Cloud Service Management accelerators and provides enterprise orchestration of complex data center activities including server commissioning, disaster recovery, workload management and intelligent fault remediation.
iWave Accelerators offer Global 1000 organizations a proven, cost-effective and low risk solution to implementing cloud and automation management technologies using their existing IT infrastructure, applications and operational policies. Each accelerator provides an end-to-end solution for cloud service management and includes the required workflows, adapters and service portals. • Microsoft’s Hyper-V adds to a list of virtual and physical commissioning tools supported in iWave’s Dynamic Server Provisioning Accelerator to include VMware vCenter, Citrix Xen, BMC Bladelogic, HP Opsware and Dell Scalant. • The HEAT adapter joins the twelve previously available 3rd-party service desk adapters to embed change and incident management within cloud offered services. • Combining the VMware and UIM adapters, iWave’s vBlock Accelerator provides a unified process for commissioning across the entire infrastructure stack including the vBlock, associated ESX servers and specific VMs. The accelerator adds service request, change approval, dependent resource provisioning and CMDB registration processes. It eliminates the need for administrators to move between micro orchestration consoles provided by individual products used in the commissioning process. "To accelerate our customers’ private and public cloud initiatives, we are providing a low cost, low risk solution that leverages their existing data center tools, policies and expertise,” said Brent Rhymes, President of iWave Software. “iWave provides the critical technology of enterprise orchestration --orchestrating product level orchestrators-- and provides a layer of abstraction between user interaction and infrastructure components. This avoids vendor and product lock over time.” The adapters and iWave Orchestrator are now available through iWave Software and its global network of resellers and service partners. A full list of supported ITSM applications is available at http://www.iwavesoftware.com/iWave-Software/iwave-adapters.html. Pricing may vary based on the connecting 3rd-party product.
