Cloud Cover
Today, most IT organizations choose to mirror or replicate their critical production environments at a secondary site which they can activate in the event of a serious service outage. This is a costly solution, both in terms of capital costs associated with duplicating the environment and the operational overhead required to maintain them.
iWave’s Cloud Cover Solution is an extension of our Automated Disaster Recovery (ADR) Accelerator which enables organizations to utilize cloud based resources as a failover environment in the event of a critical service outage. It allows organizations to utilize cloud based resources (owned and maintained by a cloud service provider) as a failover setup in lieu of owning and maintaining their own redundant infrastructure. This solution also allows organizations to model their disaster recovery processes and automate them in the event a disaster occurs.
iWave’s Cloud Cover can also be offered as a service by a managed service provider or cloud hosting organization.

It allows IT to provide this level of service while keeping costs down, enabling IT to "right size" the hardware that a service runs on, and enabling dynamic provisioning of further resources should the service suffer a spike in demand. This right sizing of a service enables IT to keep the capital and operational expenses down and maintain an excellent level of service.
