FRISCO, Texas - Aug. 26, 2004 - Patrick Brandt, founder and CEO of Skywire Software, was honored as the Tech Titan’s Emerging Company CEO on Aug. 20 by the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC). More than 700 attended the dinner and gala at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas.
Brandt is grateful for the accolade. “I am very honored to have been acknowledged for this award. Many other names in this company should be on this award,” said Brandt. He attributes his success to his employees, customers and partners. “I simply hire people who are talented, customer-focused and aligned with our values. Then, I trust them to do their job.”
Brandt has demonstrated impressive leadership since founding Skywire Software less than four years ago through a partnership with Craig Hall and Don Braun of Hall Financial Group. Brandt has built a world-class enterprise software company that delivers best-in-class software applications and professional services to such companies as U.S. Risk Insurance, Summit Alliance Companies, Dell Computer Corporation, Aon Corporation, and AXA Re Property and Casualty Group.
“Patrick’s leadership ensures the Skywire Software team focuses on ’building customers for life’,” said Don Braun, president, Hall Financial Group. “This has resulted in cumulative growth of more than 1,000 percent and more than 120 customers.”
Not a day goes by when Brandt is not outwardly communicating his vision of Skywire Software. Under his direction, the company has successfully spun-off a subsidiary and completed five acquisitions, all of which have accelerated Skywire Software’s growth in the enterprise software market, outpacing many software companies in the same class.
Under Brandt’s leadership, Skywire Software is focused not only on providing a better career for each employee, but an overall better life fostered through professional development and the ability to assist others in the community. The company was recently named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work and received the Collin County Volunteer of the Year award. In 2003, the company received the North Star Recognition for its commitment to community service and Frisco Style’s Best of Technology award.
Additionally, Brandt serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Entrepreneur's Foundation of North Texas, a partner in Dallas Social Venture Partners, and on the board of directors for the Dallas chapter of the American Red Cross. He is a member of the Young Entrepreneur's Organization, and a founding member of the Dallas-area National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
